Linda and George’s advice and mentorship have been invaluable to us. For years, whilst in the restaurant trade, they hinted that our strengths would lie more in hospitality of the B&B kind.

Having taken the plunge, their constructive criticism, ideas and help in the implementation of said advice has been priceless. Starting a boutique B&B is daunting, let alone in Spain, but they have instilled in us a confidence in our product that is backed up by a clear structure without distracting from our personalities or vision.

You may have seen Brennan and Andrew on The Great B&B Challenge on Channel 4 recently, as they have now become the presenters! We wish them all the luck in the world in their new careers.

We originally stayed with Linda and George for a weekend break, when we were starting to think about running our own B & B. We realised they ran a B & B course and as we were so impressed with our stay we knew these were the people we wanted to learn from so booked into the course. George and Linda have a friendly and highly professional manner with years of experience to draw upon. On the course they taught on all aspects of running a quality B & B and tailored it to our specific needs.

The course was informal but highly effective covering from serving breakfast to how to set up an effective website and budgeting for success. George and Linda helped us look for the right property and even came and viewed with us, teaching us about the flow of the property and how important it is to have our own separate spaces. When we were looking for our property, we could still hear Linda saying “look for the flow”.
George and Linda are very warm, genuine, positive people who want to share their passion for a business that they clearly love.

The experience with George and Linda has been life changing and has helped us to decide that this was the path for us and that we can do this. We are still in regular contact and they continue to support us in our exciting venture.

We decided to open a B&B quite by accident really, with no prior knowledge. George visited our B&B when were in the middle of renovating the property and offered us sound, achievable advice. He talked us through the pricing of the rooms and by taking on board his suggestions, our room rates went up by 40% before we opened!

Initially, in the first few months, we didn’t receive many bookings and we were getting frustrated, so we contacted George and Linda for help. They talked us through marketing, booking channels and our website - and we ended up changing all of our photos! We acted on all the advice given and our bookings have gone from strength to strength. It was reassuring to know that when we encountered a problem or hurdle, that we could ask George and Linda for advice.
