Hello, we are George and Linda Reid, The B&B Mentors.

You maybe feeling a bit daunted about starting up your own bed and breakfast but let us share our journey with you.

We were both working in the corporate world of Pharmaceutical Sales and Training, but longed to do something for ourselves, to work together and to be our own boss.

We both enjoyed, and were comfortable with, meeting new people, we loved the thought of developing an exciting new venture and wanted to create a relaxed, informal environment, where guests could enjoy their precious down time and make lasting happy memories. Hence our journey into the Hospitality Business.

Over the last 24 years we have developed and run a 4 star, forty eight cover restaurant with rooms, a 4 star B&B and now our current 5 star, Gold Award, luxury, boutique style Bed and Breakfast, Glangwili Mansion, which we developed from an almost derelict building 18 years ago. Luckily, we could both see past the sorry state that the building was in, and only saw the potential to create something special in a stunning rural location, which would satisfy our desire to be the best at what we do.

We didn’t have all the answers at the start of our journey and have made expensive mistakes along the way, but have learned from those experiences and have poured all that knowledge into making Glangwili Mansion the success that it is. We are thrilled to have won numerous awards over the years, culminating in winning the National Tourism Award for Wales 2015/18, Best Place to Stay – Guest Accommodation. But more recently we won the coveted National Tourism Awards for Wales 2025 - Best B&B, Innand Guesthouse! This was a very proud moment for us and shows that if you keep improving your offering by listening to your guests changing needs, you can still remain relevant and keep on winning awards.

More recently we have taken our extensive knowledge and experience of the Bed & Breakfast world and combined it with our love of Training from our former working lives and re-established The B&B Mentors after a 4 year break, due to popular demand.
